Create A Photo Comic Strip With Comeeko

comeeko.comHave you ever dreamed of starring in your very own comic strip? You may have previously looked to Comic Life but now Comeeko offers an online option that makes it possible to create a comic strip with your photos or other images you upload to the site.
Comeeko, an Australia-based beta product, offers an Ajax interface that makes it easy to generate comic strips with limited drawing skills. Comeeko enables users to choose a comic layout by selecting the number of panes and the layout of the panes. Each pane can have photos added to it by uploading them directly or by tapping into Flickr photos. Users can add speech bubbles and effects and share the completed comic with friends and family. If you have a social network page or blog you could add some humor to your page with Comeeko. I created a comic strip and displayed it below.
Bottom-line: Comeeko offers an easy to use Ajax interface to create and share custom comic strips.

PikiStrips is a free web service that allows you to create a comic strip from your photos. The service is pretty basic and simple and can be done in a few easy steps.
After registering to PikiStrips, you can immediately start creating your personal comic strips from your photos or images. Just select a comic strip layout. Edit border, background and colors. Upload a photo from your hard drive and position it to the comic strip cell of you choice then just drag speech bubbles and effects in the strip.
You can share your created comic strips with your friends. You can also order digitally printed Apparel, Mugs, Mouse mats, Posters, and Puzzles from PikiStrips. What is even better is that they ship worldwide.

---Turn your photos into a comic strip online and free, and lots of fun!
---Turn any image or images into comic strips, with text balloons and special effects. Look through the earlier examples uploaded into the system for the better quality stuff. It seems the latest ones are mostly people making gang signs.

This is a fun tool for creatively producing comic strip stories from your photos. It’s quick and easy to use. The only thing that concerns me is the search Flickr feature. You have to search and enter keywords in order upload a photo from Flickr. Personal Flickr account integration would be a useful feature for the service. Since most Flickr users don’t place tags in their photos, users will have a hard time searching for their images in PikiStrips. You’ll end up having to download your photos from Flickr and upload them from your hard drive.
